We have been in Germany for a few days now and seems like a much longer time. Elisa and I are sitting on our little balcony outside of our room that is home for the week. We sit and read a lot of the day. Listening to the river rush by. All the sounds of birds and bugs filling the background.
It is wonderful what peace we find here. A lack of anxieties as we are surrounded by green to keep us in high spirits. This part of the honeymoon has been a bit more relaxing. We are often alone with nature or in the room. Tucked away with people that have the same goal of relaxation.
Our hotel is surrounded by a wonderful trail system. We can walk any which way, and start exploring. The forest here is old. Everything is so tall. I feel as little next to the trees as I do the mountains of Colorado.
This spot seems to have the perfect mix of luxury and exploration. This is also exactly what we needed on this honeymoon. A break from the excitement of the wedding, and busy lives at home when we get back.
We all need mending of the mind and soul like this. Do not be afraid to take it. I cannot believe the number of anxious moments I have had, wondering what is going on back home. It will almost always be the same as it was when I left. It is ego that gets the anxiety of your importance going.
Never forget to take care of yourself. Celebrate the gift called life and go hide from everything. Keep focused on this balancing act.
